FutureYou and Cambridge Nutraceuticals
FutureYou is Cambridge Nutraceuticals’ range of natural health supplements scientifically proven to deliver more of the good stuff to your body. We carry out research to provide the highest quality supplements which provide proven absorption (= ‘bioavailability’) and clinical benefit.
Cambridge Nutraceuticals is based in the heart of Cambridge. We have close ties with Cambridge University and Addenbrooke’s Hospital (Cambridge University Hospital). Founded in 2012 with just one product “Ateronon”, based on our patented form of bioavailable lycopene, Cambridge Nutraceuticals has since grown significantly. In December 2015, we launched our extended range of clinically-proven supplements under our new brand FutureYou.
Our aim is to develop a range of bioavailable supplements with clinically proven benefits. Cambridge Nutraceuticals product development is supported by a high profile medical board including, among others, Professor Alf Lindberg; former head of R&D at Wyeth and Aventis and former member of the Nobel Committee and Secretary of the Medical Prize, Peter Kirkpatrick BSc MBCHB MSc FRCS; a leading Cambridge University vascular neurosurgeon, and Dr Andrew Carson FRCGP; a senior NHS General Medical Practitioner.
For every supplement there are two important considerations, how much is absorbed by the body (its bioavailability) and what benefit the supplement provides once it has been effectively absorbed?
Bioavailability is the proportion of a substance, which enters the circulation when introduced into the body and so is able to have an active effect. The potential of supplements for good health is widely reported, but bioavailability is too often overlooked.
At FutureYou we offer bioavailabile supplements and, where appropriate, we run clinical trials with leading researchers, which means that we can keep our promise of delivering more of the good stuff to your body.
Cambridge Nutraceuticals Ltd (formerly CamNutra Ltd) was founded in 2012 by Dr Eddie Powell and Nigel Iskander and was in part funded by members of Cambridge Angels. Initially the company sold one product, ‘Ateronon’ or ‘The Tomato Pill’, a unique, highly bioavailable formulation of lycopene (lactolycopene). A year later Tim Dye joined the business as interim CEO and to further product development. Adam Cleevely joined as CEO in 2015 (Tim became Executive Chairman) and the company then set about launching the new brand of FutureYou supplements, expanding the range of health supplements scientifically proven to deliver more of the good stuff to you.
