Paul walks 50 miles a week with Turmeric+

‘I’ve got my life back again’

In 2009, at the age of 57, Paul Goddard from Saffron Walden in Essex set out on a bold new career as a Nordic walking instructor. “I was looking for something that would have a low impact on my knees but also get that aerobic feeling of a workout,” says Paul. “And of course, Nordic walking was absolutely perfect for me.”

But after a few years, it started to take its toll, even at distances that should have been easy for someone of Paul’s age and fitness levels. “I walk 40 to 50 miles a week, and I was worried about my knees being as good as they used to be. I felt very apprehensive as walking is not only my passion, but my business.

“I could see that there were numerous turmeric products on the market, and I was looking for one that would suit me best. And then I came across Turmeric+.

‘That 'light-bulb' moment’

“I called the team in Cambridge and they were really, really helpful. They sent me lots of information about studies that have been done on turmeric, and I was convinced by the studies and the science.

“Soon after taking it I experienced that 'light-bulb' moment – I realised my knees felt like they used to. I’ve never really looked back, I’ve continued to take Turmeric+ every day since. I’m walking regularly, 40 to 50 miles a week, sometimes more, over all-mixed terrain, and I feel like I’ve got my life back again.”

The active ingredient in turmeric is called curcumin, which is hard for our bodies to absorb. Some turmeric supplements contain very high levels of curcumin, but unless they’re made more easily ‘bioavailable’, they won’t be effective.

30 times more absorbable

The need for easy absorption is what led our development team to create Turmeric+ using a unique, patented Curcuma Phospholipid Complex called MerivaⓇ.
A combination of curcumin and soy lecithin, it makes curcumin thirty times more absorbable than standard turmeric.

MerivaⓇ is now the world’s most scientifically studied bioavailable curcumin formulation, with more than 40 human trials involving over 2,000 people. It’s also backed by more data than black pepper alternatives.

Turmeric+ also contains vitamins C and D, which contribute to normal collagen formation for the normal function of cartilage. Turmeric+ is now a best-selling supplement for joint health and has been certified for use by athletes by Informed Sport, the global assurance programme for supplements.

“Walking is great for fitness as well as your mental health,” says Paul. “Being able to walk easily has made a huge difference to my life and I feel fitter now than I did twenty years ago.”
