‘I’ve been raving about ProBio 8+ to everyone I know’
“Sometimes I have back to back night shifts and my eating is all over the place,” admits 28-year-old Nurhan Abbud, a busy ear, nose and throat surgeon.
"That makes my stomach not feel great. I’ll have a big meal in the evening and then I’ll feel really bloated and sometimes quite sick. And because of my interrupted sleep, I’ve often felt sluggish when getting out of bed.”
Then a friend recommended that she try ProBio 8+. “To be honest, I was a little sceptical, and wasn’t expecting too much,” recalls Nurhan.
“After about five or six days it kind of hit me. At first I thought it was because the weather was getting better. But it dawned on me that I no longer felt tired in the morning and had a lot more energy. I’ve taken out a subscription now – that’s how much I like it.”
Around 40 per cent of people in the UK have at least one digestive symptom at any one time, according to the NHS. High stress levels, too little sleep, high-sugar and processed foods and antibiotics can all damage our gut microbiome.
“This can lead to an imbalance between 'helpful' bacteria and opportunistic 'bad' bacteria such as pathogens, which cause illnesses,” explains Dr Miriam Ferrer, PhD, Head of Product Development at FutureYou Cambridge.
Having a wide variety of bacteria species is key to a healthy microbiome. So it's a good idea to eat lots of fruits, vegetables and fermented foods containing live bacteria like yoghurt, kefir, sauerkraut, kimchi and miso. And ProBio 8+ can help too.
Supported by unique Probioact® Technology
ProBio 8+ is a multi-strain supplement containing eight highly researched and carefully selected bacteria chosen for their gut support, including species such as Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium.
Each sachet contains three billion colony-forming units of bacteria. But what's important is that they’re able to reach the gut. ProBio 8+ is different from other supplements thanks to its unique Probioact Technology® – a special formulation of strain-specific prebiotics to nourish and support them, such as inulin, as well as minerals and proteins. This ensures a higher effectiveness compared to other probiotic products by helping the strains of friendly bacteria survive the journey to the gut and start thriving.
ProBio 8+ comes in a convenient, vanilla-flavoured powder that swiftly dissolves in water, milk or yoghurt. “The sachets are nice and easy to take, I have mine with some milk in the morning. It’s become part of my daily routine,” says Nurhan. “I’ve been away on holiday recently and took a week’s worth away with me, so my routine didn’t have to be interrupted. I’ve been raving about ProBio 8+ to everyone I know.
“I’m really surprised with how much more energy and how little bloating I now have. I’ve also read around the subject, and I don’t understand why everyone doesn’t take it!”
