What is Blood Flow+?
Blood Flow+ contains CocoActiv, a highly potent cocoa flavanol extract that maintains the elasticity of blood vessels such as veins and arteries, and helps to maintain normal blood flow.
How does it work? Flavanols are naturally occurring antioxidants found in various types of plants, including the cocoa plant. Research has found that cocoa flavanols assist the production of nitric oxide, which triggers the relaxation of blood vessels. This in turn contributes to normal blood flow*.
Why CocoActiv is better than chocolate
Cocoa beans are fermented to enhance their flavour, which decreases the amount of flavanols they contain. After a lot of processing, the cocoa powder used to make chocolate tends to have a low flavanol content.
To get the same amount of cocoa flavanols as a daily dose of Blood Flow+, you’d need to eat 400g of high-quality dark chocolate every day. That would also mean eating more than 2,400 calories and nearly 330% the daily recommended amount of fat. Blood Flow+ contains just 4 calories.
