  • Service Excellence Award: Why Customer Care Matters

    Friday night was the grand final of this year’s SME National Business Awards, hosted at Wembley Stadium. We competed for the Wembley and Delaware North Service Excellence Award.

    We’re very proud to have competed! It was great to see so many amazing companies in our category this year, and we hope to come back again in 2019 to contest the title.

    Putting together the award entry really made us think about why providing the best service is so important to us. We knew going into the awards that good service is about more than winning trophies or differentiating ourselves from the competition.

    Our friend Bill Moore, an 80-year-old turmeric lover, has just taken part in his 20th Swimathon on behalf of Marie Curie.

    Bill is an extraordinary character, not just for his seven decades challenging himself in the swimming pool, but also because of his generous nature. This year he raised more than £600 for Marie Curie, to support the charity’s work providing help and support to people with terminal illnesses and their families.

  • Doctors set a World Record on their Epic Rowing Charity Challenge

    In April, Doctors Ted Welman and Jack Faulkner left the coast of Western Australia on their 84 day expedition to Port Louis, Mauritius.  They aimed to become one of only 20 boats to have completed the challenge.  Not only that, but they had aspirations of becoming the fastest.
    The young Doctors spent nearly 3 months at sea, burning 8000 calories per day and rowing in 2 hour shifts, 24 hours a day for the duration of the crossing. The grueling schedule will saw them battle sleep deprivation, hurricane force winds and 50 ft waves! The Doctor's took Turmeric+ throughout the journey to aid their recovery and help them along the way.
